I graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in music education. I am currently a member of the Music Teachers Association of California and have enjoyed teaching piano for over thirty years. My background of playing extends from duets with my students to accompanying choral concerts, and accompanying bachelors, masters, and doctoral students at various universities.
I really believe that everyone should be able to have a life of music. That's why I became a teacher. Whether you're just a beginner or an advanced student needing guidance, let's explore music together!
I offer weekly private lessons in my home for all ages of students. I use a variety of piano books that are written for various ages, skill levels, and styles (beginners, intermediate, jazz, blues, classical...etc). I encourage my students to share their favorite piano pieces at our two recitals each year. My goal in teaching is to develop skills in playing the piano, learning music theory, and to experience the joy of sharing music with others.
